One electronically tested silver and gold ladies custom cast & assembled pink tourmaline and diamond ring. The featured pink tourmaline is set within a diamond floret supported by tapering shoulders, completed by a four millimeter wide band. Bright and anodized finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. One bezel set pear cabochon cut natural pink tourmaline, measuring 11.00 x 9.00 x 1.50mm, approximate weight of 1.23ct., clarity is moderately included, type II, medium, moderately strong, strongly purplish red color, (GIA stpR 5/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with a minimum of distortion, transparent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Graded in the setting. Eight illusion set rose tablet cut diamonds approximate total weight of 8 Stones = 0.35ct. Graded in the setting.Each diamond is bezel set and fitted over foil backs. This was a popular method of illusion setting in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The final appearance of the diamond is that of a much larger stone, an illusion.
