The lot features rare large natural Star Sapphire and Diamond 14K Gold ring with paperwork. The Star Sapphire is a highly collectible and rare type of sapphire that exhibits a star-like phenomenon known as asterism. Star Sapphires contain intersecting needle-like inclusions following the underlying crystal structure that causes the appearance of a six-rayed "star"-shaped pattern when viewed with a single overhead light source. The stones show a dark blue natural coloring with mostly complete six ray stars. The center star sapphire shows a weight of 9.53 carats and the ring also shows 68 round brilliant cut diamonds with a weight of 1.00 carats, I1-I2 clarity and I-K color. The double ray diffraction stone is in a polished finished cabochon form and comes with a COA Gemology Report and appraisal from AIGL (American International Gemological Laboratories, a GIA Certified Gemologist). The appraisal confirms the above info and gives a value of $6,011.00. The ring is in brand new condition in a size 7 US.
