Available in this lot we have a Pomo Native American hand woven basket originating from the 1800's. This hand woven basket features the traditional coil weave pattern and shows geometric shapes along the top portion of the piece. The basket is considered to be a seed gathering basket. The Pomo Native American culture, Located across the California coast, is famed for its tradition of intricate basketry. The basket shows good condition for its age with the top ring of the rod having come free of the weave. The piece measures 7" in diameter by 2 1/2" tall.
