Featured in this lot is this 1858 Harper's School Library History of the Expedition by Archibald M'Vickar Vol I & II. This two volume set was originally prepared by one Nicholas Biddle as its first editor but originally prepared by Paul Allen for the press; this copy was revised, and abridged by the omission of unimportant details, with an introduction and notes by Archibald M'Vickar. This two volume copy includes the sources of the Missouri, thence across the Rocky Mountains, and down the river Columbia to the Pacific Ocean: Performed during the years 1804, 1805, 1806. The condition of this pair of books shows some slight wear tot he cover and the spine of the books and shows slight discoloration to the pages of the book due to age. The measurements of this pair of books is 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". The collective weight of this 14oz.
