For your consideration is this copy of the “Last Rambles among the Indians of the Rocky Mountains and the Andes” by George Catlin. This book was published in 1868 and features a wonderful gilt cover on green cover. It was published by Gall & Inglis and includes 24 woodcuts. George Catlin was an American painter, author, and traveler, who specialized in portraits of Native Americans in the Old West. Travelling to the American West five times during the 1830s, Catlin was the first white man to depict Plains Indians in their native territory. The condition of this book is fair, with little wear to the cover or spine; the first couple pages before the title page are missing and the back cover is splitting from the spine. The measurements of this book are 7 1/2" x 5 1/4".
