For your consideration is this original Sioux Indian war ledger art shown from 1879. This a lovely original 1879 ledger art on a ledger from Cleveland and Mahoning Valley Railway Co.; the ledger is all done in original inkwell pen and signed by N.M. Fuller. The ledger art itself is a wonderful example of a unique story of a Native American man fighting a U.S. Cavalryman and killing him. There is great symbolism from the circling hoof prints to the broken U.S. flag and a rare Morning Star. This is a museum piece fr4om the late Albert John Higgins estate in Parkville, Missouri. This is truly an Native American work of art and a rare piece showing great action and drawn at a time when the Native American's were at the end of the war path. The condition of this ledger art is fair, it shows it age with wear and some tears to the integrity of of the ledger paper itself. The measurements of this ledger art is 11" x 14".
