Featured in this lot is this1881 edition of "My Life on the Plains" written by General George A. Custer and published in 1881. The book features a gilt decorated cover and spine showing the image of a buffalo. The book chronicles General Custer's service with the 7th Cavalry after the Civil War. Custer served on the Western Frontier as a noted Indian fighter and was tragically killed at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. This book shows numerous illustrations throughout. The condition of this book is well preserved with some wear to the brown cloth wrapped cover with some browning to the pages consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this book is 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 6oz. The book is signed by 'A. Kidder" - 1889.
