Featured in this lot is this 1885 first edition copy of Ernest Ingersoll's "Crest of the Continent - A Summer's Ramble in the Rocky Mountains and Beyond". The novel was published by R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Publishers of Chicago, Illinois in 1888 and copyright in 1885. The book covers Ingersoll's experiences in the American frontier of Utah, Colorado, and northern New Mexico. The book features a maroon cover with gilt gold lettering and pressed designs on the cover. The condition of this book is fabulous, with light wear to the cover and to the spine and slight browning to the pages, all consistent with age. The measurements of this book are 8 1/2" x 5 3/4".
