For your consideration is a double sided map of Idaho & Western Montana and Wyoming & Eastern Montana by H.C. Tunison, 1888. H.C. Tunison was an obscure map maker of the late 1800s. His maps were colored with bright, almost fluorescent, colors that made his maps distinctive and very eye catching. On one side is a map of Wyoming with the eastern half of Montana; on the other side is a map of Idaho with the western half of Montana. Both maps are colored by county, with early county configurations. Each side of the map indicates that it is a Tunison Map and includes populations by state and area population. In the bottom right corner of each page is Tunison’s unique signature mark. This piece is in overall good condition, with a few page stains and holes (shown in photos). It measures approximately 12"W x 14"L.
