Featured in this lot is a Fort Keogh, Montana complimentary hop framed invitation originating from 1890. The invitation is hand written and originated from April 5th, 1890, only five months after Montana was accepted into the Union as the 41st State on November 8, 1889. The piece is an invitation to a complimentary hop at the Cost Hall, located in Fort Keogh, with dancing starting at 8.30. The invite shows three cut, rough edges and a flat fold on the left side. The piece is set into a wood frame with a black border around the invitation. It shows good condition overall, with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 11 1/2" wide by 13 5/8" tall, with the invitation measuring 4 1/2" wide by 6 3/4" tall.
