The lot features a circa 1890’s men’s cowboy vest with silver Sheriff’s Badge and Locust Gold Pocket Watch from Tombstone, Arizona Territory; from the collection of the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum collection. The badge is comprised of a silver or silver nickel construction showing a classic 19th-century design with circle having a five-point star at the center and is stamped, embossed, “SPECIAL DEPUTY SHERIFF” with a silver like pin back and LO-228 museum number on the back. The badge is attached to a wool sewn on spot, designated for it. The watch is marked on the movement, "Locust Watch Co. 17 Seventeen Jewels, 4 Four Adjustments / Switzerland / 6549660". This is a pocket watch with gold case made by B & B Royal (B&B Royal) and is 20-years warranted case made from 14K Gold, 14K Gold filled or 14K Rolled Gold. The watch was made in February 1898 and shows a serial number on the movement of 6549660. The watch is on an original gold filled pocket watch chain which looks great on the vest as well. Truly a beautiful set from a historic Western town. The vest is a classic circa 1880-1890’s cowboy old west fabric vest, black in color and buttons with white stripes, totaling six buttons. The vest, badge and pocket watch show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of damage is noted. The vest measures 24" L x 17" W, the badge measures 2 1/4" L x 2 1/4" W and the pocket watch measures 2 1/4" L x 1 7/8" W (chain measures 11 3/8" L). They have a collective weight of 10 ounces. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona LO228
