Featured in this lot is a 1891 first edition Life of General Sherman by James P. Boyd. This book is by the same author of "Military and Civil Life of U.S. Grant" and "Life of Sheridan". The book shows a red cloth cover with floral black gilt and a gold gilt bar where the title is written and it has similar decoration on the spine of the book. The condition of this book is good with some slight wear to the top of the spine and some browning to the pages consistent with the age of the book, but otherwise it shows good overall condition. The measurements of this book are 8" x 6".*
