Offered in this lot is a wonderful black and white photograph of a St. Patrick's Day parade in Butte, Montana in 1898. The photograph shows the Butte street packed with people as troops march by as far as the eye can see. People can be seen leaning out windows of buildings and American flags adorn every building. The first St. Patrick's Day parade to be held in Butte was said to be in 1881. There is so much history to be seen in this photograph, from the buildings to the people and their clothing. The photograph measures 14" x 11" and is in a simple wood frame that measures 16 1/2" x 13 1/2". The frame and photograph are in good condition.
