For your consideration is this 1899 first edition of, "Lone Pine" by R. B. Townshend. Against the backdrop of the wild and lawless Old West, author R. B. Townshend spins an exciting yarn about a quest to locate a long-lost mine that, according to legend, is home to untold riches. Along the way, an unlikely romance blooms. With something to engage every reader, Lone Pine is a classic action-adventure novel worth your time. The book shows a forest green canvas cover with an image depicting a Native American leaning against a tree, holding his rifle as he looks out into the valley. The front cover also features the title and the author's name. The spine of the book has the title, the author and an image of a Native American woman. The book was published by The Knickerbocker Press in New York in 1899 and copyrighted the same year by G. P. Putnam's Son's. The book is in good condition with the front cover and spine slightly loose. The top and bottom of the spine show wear consistent with its age. The interior pages are in good condition with no signs of obvious damage or foxing. Overall th book shows god condition. The book measures 7 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 1 1/4" D.
