Featured in this lot is this Cook Pottery cream pitcher of Flagship Olympia, circa 1899. The cream pitcher is an antique piece that commemorates Admiral Dewey, called "U.S. Navy Hero of Manila," and depicts his flagship 'Olympia' and shows a cameo of the Admiral. The piece celebrates his victory in the Spanish-American War. The pitcher was made in Trenton, New Jersey and patented in 1899; it shows the hallmark for Cook Pottery Co. on the bottom of the vessel. The condition of this cream pitcher is fair, with the painted etching to the cameo and the decoration of the vessel and some fading to the flag pictorials. The measurements of this cream pitcher are 4 1/4" x 4 3/4" x 3 3/4".
