The painting, which shows an unbelievable detail and skill, shows a lone rider on horseback wearing a 17th or 18th Century style hatter with large plume feather. At the left of the rider shows a stone building and in the background, mountains. The work of art has been mounted to an early gilt gold wood frame. The measurements of the tintype are 11 1/4" x 7".
