This is an original, authentic Tom Mix signature in a fine collection showing a Tom Mix photograph and an original Tom Mix cowhide leather like card / book plaque which is marked, "The Good Book Says, "God Helps Those That Help Themselves." But I Say "God Help The Man That Strays Off The Ranch With This Book." Tom Mix". Tom Mix (Thomas Edwin Mix / Thomas Hezikiah Mix, 1880-1940) was a noted American film actor and the star of many early Western films between 1909 and 1935, appearing in 291 films, all but nine of which were silent films. He was one of Hollywood's first Western stars and helped define the genre as it emerged in the early days of cinema. The signature is an authentic Tom Mix example and the book plate or small hide is also and original. Nice collection. Frame measures 14.25-inches by 10-inches.
