For your consideration is this collection of American 48 star flags circa 1912-1959. In 1912, two stars were added, representing Arizona and New Mexico, bringing the total number of stars to 48, arranged in 6 rows of 8 stars each. There were thirteen stripes representing the thirteen original colonies. This flag flew from 4 July, 1912, to 3 July, 1949. There are three small flags on small sticks for citizens to hold in hand and two larger flags; with the last one being hand embroidered and set to a linen dual layered fabric. The condition of these flags is good while showing their age however are well preserved. The measurements of these flags range from 4" x 6" flag size to 16" x 18" for overall size of the embroidered flag.
