This lot includes a rare "Haynes Official Guide to Yellowstone National Park" published in 1916 by Jack E. Haynes, official photographer of Yellowstone National Park, the first national park in the country. This was the first Yellowstone National Park guide not published by Jack's father, Frank Jay Haynes who had been the official photographer of Yellowstone Nationall Park since 1883, and had retired in 1916. Jack became the official photographer and concessionaire for Yellowstone Park from 1916 until his death in 1962. The guide has many maps, illustrations and photos which were taken by Frank and Jack as well. It is complete with the fold out map inside the back cover. This guide is in amazing condition considering its age, the from illustrated cover is torn and separated from the spine, the rear cover is missing, pages are intact, minimal foxing noted, measures 4.75"W x 6.755"L x .5"D
