Featured in this lot we have a collection of beaded flapper purse set into a wall display and originating from the 1920's. The collection consists of 15 purses in total with ten medium and three large purses, along with one small metal purse and a small ornate metal container. The purses show an array of colorful bead work with five showing the iconic flapper decorative tassels. The purses each shows wonderful craftsmanship with most displaying detailed designs. The pieces show designs ranging from geometric shapes and patterns to detailed depictions of flowers and coral reefs. The purses each feature a metal clasp across the top with many of them showing a chain carry strap. The collection is set in to a wood wall display with a glint gold and red velvet exterior. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear. The frame measures 31 3/4" wide by 52" tall. The purses are a wonderful representation of the circa 1920's Art Deco styling and would have been worn by the "Flapper" women.
