Featured in this lot is this 1920's original, large Skookum, trade blanket wrapped Indian doll. The doll shows original construction, with the framework for the doll constructed by wood with straw stuffed, ceramic faces. The doll shows braided black hair wrapped in cloth. The Native American man shows cloth constructed clothing and a fleece trade blanket wrapped around him. The condition of this doll is fair; it shows wear consistent with age and hard usage, such as a large fracture to the ceramic face, exposing the stuffing within. The measurements of this large Skookum doll are 20 1/2" x 7" x 4 1/2".
