Salsbury, The Bobbs-Merrill Company Indianapolis Publishers. Thirty-two illustrations, pictorial map rear endpaper, "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show" advertisement poster on front endpaper. An accurate biography of legendary William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, a Pony Express rider, military scout, buffalo hunter, Indian fighter & recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. During his life he was associated with famous characters of the American West such as George Armstrong Custer, Doc Carver, Calamity Jane, Captain Jack Crawford, "Wild Bill" Hickok, Annie Oakley, Sitting Bull & Major John Burke. A must-have for any collector interested in Western Americana culture. The green cloth bound gold gilt hardcover is in good condition, gold gilt still bright with some fading. Intact pages feature deckled fore edge, age tanning noted. Measures 5.75"W x 8.75"L x 1.5"D, weight 1lb, 10oz.
