Included in this lot are Vintage North & Judd Anchor Stamped Iron Western Spurs, circa 1930s to 1940s. These spurs feature five star rowels, double rings for heal and fore foot straps and display the iconic anchor hallmark on each shank. From its early start in 1832, the business grew quickly and was a supplier to the U.S. army during the Civil War and again during the Spanish-American war and even the first World War. From 1863 until after World War II, North & Judd specialized in high-quality, mass-produced western spurs, and after acquiring the rival August Buermann Company in 1926, they became one of the largest producers of bits and spurs. The condition of this pair of spurs is well preserved with some oxidation to the spurs due to age but otherwise are well preserved. The measurements of each spur is 4.5"W x 5.5"L, collective weight is 14oz.
