Included in this lot we have a Bijar Persian hand knotted wool runner rug originating from 1930's. The rug features a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Bijar Persian rugs are hand woven in the town of Bijar and the surrounding villages located in the Northwest of Iran in the Kurdistan province. The Bijar rugs are known for there high durability and compact weave. The piece displays geometric designs across the center of the piece with fringe at each end. The piece shows a tight weave with colors of red, dark blue, tan, black, green, orange, and off white. The piece shows good condition overall with little wear and use. The rug measures 43 3/4" wide by 118 1/2" long.
