Included in this lot is a Kashan Persian, hand knotted wool area rug originating from the 1930's. This is a wonderfully patterned Persian rug from a city in the northern part of Isafahan province, Iran. It has lovely designs and a high thread count. The medallion and corner pattern on an ornately patterned floral field is a trademark of Kashan rugs. The colors used in the design are usually a combination of deep blues, rich reds, green, and off-white. The rug features four borders, each showing geometric floral designs. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 77 1/2" wide by 112" long.
