Included in this lot is a Kashan Persian hand knotted wool area rug originating from 1930's. This is a wonderfully patterned Persian rug from a city in the northern part of Isafahan province, Iran. The rug features lovely designs and high thread count. The medallion and corner pattern on an ornately patterned floral field is a trademark of Kashan rugs. The colors used in the design are usually a combination of deep blues, rich reds, and cream with occasional splotches of yellow, green, and burnt orange. The rug features four borders, each showing geometric floral designs. The piece shows good condition overall, with little wear and use. The rug measures 114" wide by 155" long.
