This book is by Francis Parkman (1823-1893) was an American historian and valued for his works an was one of the most notable historians. This book comes complete with notes by Mabel Dodge Holmes, Ph. D and shows an introduction by Howard R. Diggs president of Oregon Trail Memorial Association and a professor of English at New York University. This is a illustrated copy. The condition of this book fair to good with some wear to the outside cover and spine and some fading to the gilt lettering on the cover, the book also features browning to the pages but otherwise is in fair to good overall condition. The measurements of this book are 9 3/8" x 7" x 1 1/2".
