Featured in this lot is this 1942 first edition "My Home on the Range" by Harry Johnston. The book is a compilation of stories of early pioneer days which he relates are largely from his own experience, and the people are men and women that he knew. The book comes with a museum or collectors tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 - O'dell. The condition of this book shows some slight wear to the outside cover and browning to the pages consistent with the age. The measurements of this book is 9 1/4" x 6 3/8". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 8oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
