Featured in this lot is a taxidermy deer wall mount with a hoof rack and mirror, originating from 1942. The mount shows a 4x4 Michigan white tail deer on a dark stained wood shield. Below the mount on the shield is a deer hoof gun rack with a beveled mirror between the hooves. This deer still has its original metal hunting tag looped around its right antler, reading "1942 Mich. Res. Deer Lic. 166784". This piece would make a fine addition to a log home, hunting cabin, or rustic dwelling. The rack in front functions as a gun rack for one gun, but could be used for coats, hats, or other articles of clothing. The piece shows good condition overall, with no signs of shedding or wear. The shield measures 33" tall by 22" at its widest; the mount measures 20 1/2" deep, with a 16" wide by 10 1/2" tall rack.
