Featured in this lot is this 1945 genuine WWII Indian regimental infantry Kukri. These blades have been carried by the Napalese Gurkha as both a very formidable weapon and a decorative uniform piece since as early as 1559. This kukri features markings of “SA” and “HW4F” and shows a leather wrapped sheath with a brass tip and a snug fit to the blade without sticking on brandishing the blade. The hilt features a turned hard wood. The sheath features markings of “CO6” and “1945”. The condition of this Kukri is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this sheathed fighting knife are 18 1/4" x 4 1/2" and the blade length is 12 1/4".
