For your consideration is this 1949 first edition of “The Story of Man in Yellowstone” by Merrill D Beal. The book was published in 1949 by the Yellowstone Library and Museum Association. The book details the early history and subsequent founding of the national park. The piece displays numerous black and white illustrations and six appendices. The book is signed by the author on the second page in blue pen reading, "Greetings From Wonderland, Ranger Naturalist Merrill D. Beal". The book shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The book measures 7 7/8" L x 5 1/4" W x 1 1/4" D and weighs 1 pound.
