Featured in this lot are these 1950's Navajo beaded, male & female, ceramic skookum dolls. The dolls show traditional southwest Native American design with human hair on both; the male shows garments identifying him with a trade seed bead ornament hung along the right hand side of the doll and a ceramic face. The female skookum doll shows great craftsmanship with a velvet dress and a beaded border on the dress and around her neck; she also adorns a bracelet on her left hand. The condition of these dolls is good with no obvious signs of damage; however, there is some wear consistent with age. The measurements of the dolls are 19" x 7" x 3" and 19" x 10" x 3".
