Included in this lot we have a Papago Native American hand woven basket originating from the 1950's. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. This basket shows yucca and bear grass construction with a triangular pattern across the piece. The piece features a tight, close weave coil basket and lid with sturdy construction. The basket shows good condition overall with some light wear due to age. The piece measures 4" at its tallest with a diameter of approximately 5 3/4".
