Featured in this lot is this 1953 first edition of “The Custer Myth” by Col Graham. This book includes important items of Custeriana and a complete and comprehensive bibliography by Fred Dustin. The book is bound on tan cloth with red embossing on the cover and spine. The front and back-end papers show a full color printing of a painting by Gayle P. Hoskins. Working from a clay model of the battlefield with a U.S.G.S. contour map and a troop movement map, this is a unique view of the battle. One of the interesting things brought to light in this book is how the U.S. Cavalry companies rode horses of matching colors. The condition of this book is good, with slight wear to the cover and spine consistent with the age of this book. The measurements of this book are 10 1/2" x 8".
