For your consideration is this 1953 U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service wildfire prevention sign printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office. The sign shows Smokey the Bear holding his right hand up in the air with the words above his head reading, "Repeat After Me: I Will Be Careful...". Below that it shows cubs doing a variety of activities on how to be careful not to start wildfires, and reads, "...With Matches / ...With Smokes / ...With Campfires / ...With Any Fire". Below the images, it reads, "Remember - Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires!". On the very bottom of the sign it reads, "U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service / Nationwide Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Campaign Sponsored As A Public Service By American Business / Pennsylvania Department of Forests And Waters Division Of Forest Protection". The sign shows good condition with no wear or tears present and is set on a large cardstock paper and plastic wrapped. The sign measures 18 3/8" L x 12 7/8" W.
