For your consideration is this 1960 First Edition of “Frederic Remington's Own West”. This book was written and illustrated by Frederic Remington, edited with an introduction by Harold McCracken, and published by The Dial Press New York, New York in 1960. A collection of Frederic Remington’s writings, complemented by more than one hundred of his famous drawings, provides an exciting record of the Old West as it once was, with tales of cowboys, Indians, and soldiers. Frederic Sackrider Remington was an acclaimed American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in depictions of the American Old West. His works are known for depicting the Western United States in the last quarter of the 19th century and featuring such images as cowboys, American Indians, and the US Cavalry. This book is in good overall condition. The brown cloth bound gold gilt cover is in good condition, very slight wear to cover, intact pages exhibit very slight age tanning, foxing not noted, dust jacket has some tears and fading, measures 7"W x 10.25"L x .75"D
