In the background, it shows Smokey putting up another sign on another tree while watching the two squirrels. The bottom of the sign reads, "U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service / Nationwide Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Campaign Sponsored As A Public Service By American Business / Pennsylvania Department of Forests And Waters Division Of Forest Protection".
