Featured in this lot we have a Colt Commemorative single action army revolver chambered in .44-40 WCF caliber and engraved with 18 carat gold across the exterior. The is chambered in .44-40 WCF with blue'd and case hardened finish and walnut grips. The cylinder is engraved with 18 carat gold floral designs along with a medallion design with the initials "WC" and the a second with the Colt Stallion. The barrel is similarly etched with "COLT" flanked by floral designs and building on the other side similarly flanked. The back of the grip is gold engraved with the signature of Col. Sam Colt. The piece is marked across the top of the barrel reading "+Colts PT, F, A, MFG, Co, Hartford, CT, U.S.A.+" with the left side of the frame marked "PAT. SEPT.19.1871. " JULY.2.-72 " JAN.19,-75". The revolver comes in a solid oak case with brass hardware and a plaque reading "Colt John Wayne Commemorative" set into red leather lining. The revolver displays wonderful condition with little to no wear across the piece. The revolver and case weighs 8lbs 14oz. Serial Number: 2239WC. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.
