For your consideration in this lot is a wonderful original water color of "Yellowstone (lower) Falls" by Wyoming artist Anniedeen Creel (1922-2019). This painting is of one of the most iconic places in Yellowstone National Park. In 1870, a member of the Washburn party, Mr. N.P. Langford described the Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone in this way: “A grander scene than the lower cataract of the Yellowstone was never witnessed by mortal eyes.” This striking beauty was captured by Anniedeen Creel. The painting is professionally double matted and framed by West Wind Gallery of Casper WY. On the back of the painting on the dust paper is the original business / sales card from the gallery as well as hand written in pencil an inventory number, "Yellowstone Falls 1987" and a Bio-Sheet about Anniedeen and her background showings, and awards.
