Featured in this lot is the collection of a 19th century, frontier Bowie Knife, sheath, and belt. The knife sheath and belt shows a harness leather construction that is held together with brass tacks and shows a long harness leather belt with a brass plain buckle. The knife shows a bowie design with a clip point and a heavy stainless steel full tang blade with a wooden handle. The condition of this frontier knife is good with some patina adorning the belt and the sheath and shows some oxidation to the blade itself but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of the belt is 60" long; The sheath measures 12 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/2"; The knife measures 12 7/8" x 2" x 3/4" and the blade length is 7 3/4".*
