Featured in this lot is this ranch forged Iron Vaquero ring bit circa 19th century. The bit features a rudimentary however effective professional construction from iron which leads to the "Ranch Forged" conclusion with effective ergonomics for horsemanship with the ring shaped specifically to be effective but less severe and shows a half breed port. The condition of this forged ring bit is pretty crudely made potentially at a ranch forge with oxidation consistent with age and heavy use but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this bit are 6" x 4 3/8" x 1 7/8". The collective weight of this bit is 12oz.
