Featured in this lot is this reinforced hammered copper still basin circa 19th century. The sill basin features a wonderfully and professionally crafted reinforced hammered copper construction that shows a banded reinforced lip with a welded copper pipe for a handle with a vertical dovetail joint seam shown under the handle and shows a rolled foot for the bottom of the still basin. The condition of this of this copper still basin is well preserved with some welding repair work to the side walling and shows a heavy patina consistent with the age of the still basin but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this copper still basin is 13 1/4" x 11" x 7 1/2". The collective weight of this still basin is 4lb 14oz.
