Streeter & Co. in Rochester, New York, is a classic example of heavy cast-iron American craftsmanship. Designed as a multi-use kitchen tool, it allowed households to easily extract juices for jellies, press cider, and separate liquid lard from cracklings. It features a turning top wheel that forces a internal plunger disk down a central screw, pushing the ingredients against a perforated steel cylinder to channel liquids through the bottom spout. Its unique split-yoke top frame hinges outward via heavy wing nuts, allowing the entire press to be disassembled effortlessly for thorough cleaning. The press is sold as is.
