Featured in this lot is this whiskey distillery oak barrel Batch: B-9 circa 19th century. The barrel features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oak and iron construction that shows a set of forged handles and bands that hold the barrel together with a deep basin and slightly oblong for transfer of product. The barrel is marked with the batch number and reads as follows: B - 9. The condition of this 19th century whiskey barrel is well preserved with some wear to the wooden blanks that make up the barrel and oxidation to the bands holding the barrel together and also adorning the forged handles on the side of the barrel. The measurements of this barrel is 22 1/4" x 16 3/4" x 17". The collective weight of this whiskey barrel is 22lb 14oz.
