Featured in this lot is this original oil on canvas American folk art painting set in a wood frame from the 19th Century. This painting depicts a man hand plowing his farm as a large horse pulls the plow. In the distance are large farmhouses and barns showing colors of brown, white and yellow. Scattered throughout the farm are large, towering trees full of green leaves. A small bird house can been seen sitting in the nearest tree on the left hand side showing a blue bird and a birdhouse showing colors of white, brown/red and yellow. The piece is not signed. It is set in a wood frame showing a light gold coloring. The painting has an American Pennsylvania Dutch / German appearance. The art and frame show good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of obvious damage. The visible art measures 26 5/16" L x 16 1/4" W, while the entire piece measures 28 3/8" L x 18 3/8" W x 1 5/16" D. It weighs 3 pounds and 4 ounces.
