Featured in this lot is this cabinet card of Comanche Chief Esa-Iou-Gelt circa 19th century. The cabinet card features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows Esa-Iou-Gelt in a studio with a floral backdrop seemingly as a professional photograph and is attributed to Soule, William S. (William Stinson) who took many of this Comanche Chiefs photographs throughout his lifetime. The cabinet card is slightly marked on the back as follows: Indian - Esa-Iou-gelt Comanche. The condition of this cabinet card is well preserved with some slight wear to the front of the cabinet card with scratches on the face but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this cabinet card is 5 1/8" x 4 1/8". Provenance: From The Jim Aplin Collection out of Piedmont, South Dakota.
