Th lot features a fantastic 19th-century Southern Plains Comanche leather sheath and knife. The knife shows forged typical trade knife with thick metal spin, slightly curved bowie like blade with clip point edge. The handle is one piece hardwood with copper rivets. The knife can be referred to as a javelina knife, skinning knife or fighting knife / belt knife. The sheath exhibits harness trade commercial leather in a classic belt sheath pattern with wire sewn edge and Indian tanned hide ties and belt strap. The leather has a scale like pattern and a nice dark patina from honest age and use. Overall the sheath is 13.5-inches long by 4-inches wide. The knife is 11.5-inches long.

All items will ship at our North American Auction Company in-house shipping department. Please allow up to 14-21 days after a complete invoice payment is made to package and ship your purchase.
