Featured in this lot is this pair of hand forged banded steel vaquero spurs, circa 19th century. The spurs show excellent construction from banded steel, featuring double spur strap lags. The spurs were forged from one piece of steel and have 20 sunburst rowel and an over under spur strap with heel strap built into the main body. The condition of these spurs is good, with no obvious signs of damage and some oxidation consistent with the age of the spurs. The measurements of these early spurs are 7" x 4" x 1 1/4".
