This is an early beaded trade leather double holster for Colt Single Action Army Revolvers from the Southern Plains Indians. The piece is comprised of commercial harness saddle trade leather with rawhide sinew lacing ties showing a double set of holsters which appear to be made for a set of Colt Single Action Army Model 1873 7 1/2 inch Cavalry standard revolvers. The beadwork shows glass trade seed beads with a snake or river pattern showing colors of white, blue, light blue and semi-transparent red along the fronts with additional diamond and cross patterns. The back shows a serrated stepped pattern in similar colors with a fancy "R" and "E" in a script design beaded with a faceted iridescent glass. The set appears to be from the late-19th-century to early 20th-century. The buckle appears to be a cast later replacement. Likely from the Apache or Kiowa. Measures overall 45-inches long, belt is 3-inches wide, holsters are each 13.25-inch long by 5-inches wide.
