Featured in this lot is this harness leather and studded carriage bridle circa 19th century. The bridle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted leather and brass studded construction that shows thick harness leather that is stitched this a crown connected nose band and shows two eye marker shields to keep the horse on target going in the direction its pointed. The bit shows a single bar short shank construction with half bar decoration to the shank of the bit. The bridle is decorated with a steel or iron adornment of a eagle head. The condition of this carriage bridle is good with some wear and patina to the harness leather and some patina adorning the brass studded nature of the bridle but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bridle is 29" x 6 1/2" x 7 1/4.
